Global Learning Partnerships

This exciting IILD initiative houses the central capacity development component of the Trade Health Education and Microfinance Programme (THEMP).

It opens doors to enhance personal and corporate development through bespoke fast track support programmes to accelerate learning, skills, practices and knowledge to enhance core competencies. Through context-specific linkages, IILD creates and facilitates platforms for sharing experiences, skills and opportunities.

This programme will improve global connectedness and collaborations and create global citizens making a real change. This is an IILD facilitated programme based on scheduled institutional development, study trips, internships, exchange programmes and placements. It is a ‘give-give, receive-receive’ mutual exchange between organisations, individuals and agencies, and is, in a real sense, a model for sustainable development by bridging the North-South divide, connecting sectoral industries, developing NGOs, improving governance and civic society and promoting trade organisations, especially agricultural cooperatives.

The GLP offers a truly rewarding experience and can have multilayered personal, professional and institutional benefits for those involved. The programme also encourages interactive cooperation between the worlds of education, training, public services, volunteering, knowledge, capacity building and work.
